Industrial Electronic Repairs Ltd is a specialist industrial electronics repair company based in West Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Electronic Repair Engineer to join our expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving problems and repairing electronics down to component level.

You will work on a wide variety of industrial electronic equipment from different manufacturers, often diagnosing and repairing equipment without manufacturer schematics or technical information. Every repair presents a different challenge, making this a varied and interesting role for someone who enjoys electronics and problem\-solving.

The Role

As an Electronic Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing faults and repairing industrial electronic equipment down to component level


• Fault\-finding complex electronic circuits and identifying failed components


• Carrying out repairs, modifications and testing to a high standard


• Using oscilloscopes, multimeters, component testers and other electronic test equipment


• Working from circuit diagrams and technical information where available


• Reverse\-engineering circuits where manufacturer information is unavailable


• Testing repaired equipment to ensure it is fully operational before returning to the customer


• Recording repair findings and test results accurately


• Working independently while having the support and knowledge of an experienced engineering team


• Sharing knowledge and working collaboratively with other engineers to solve difficult faults

Equipment You Could Be Working On

We repair a diverse range of industrial electronic equipment, including:

• PCBs


• Power supplies


• PLCs


• HMIs


• Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)


• Servo Drives


• Industrial PCs


• Motor control equipment


• And a wide range of other industrial electronic equipment

Skills \& Experience Required

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Proven experience in electronic repair and fault\-finding down to component level


• A strong understanding of electronic components, circuits and their functions


• Experience diagnosing faults using a variety of electronic test and diagnostic equipment


• The ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams


• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills


• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to fault finding


• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload


• Good PC skills and general computer literacy


• A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge across a wide range of industrial electronics

Experience repairing industrial electronics, drives, PLCs, PCBs or similar equipment would be highly advantageous.

What We Offer

• £28,000 – £45,000 salary, negotiable depending on experience
