Electrically Bias Installation Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrically Biased Installation Engineer to join our growing installation team. Working across the UK, you'll be responsible for the installation, relocation, refurbishment and commissioning of conveyor systems and materials handling equipment for some of the UK's leading parcel and logistics companies.
This is a hands\-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, working away from home, and being part of a close\-knit engineering team delivering high\-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission conveyor and materials handling equipment.
- Carry out electrical installation work including:
- Cable containment.
- Cable installation and termination.
- Control panel modifications.
- Sensor installation and setup.
- Motor installation and wiring.
- Assist with mechanical installation activities when required.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and layout plans.
- Work safely in accordance with RAMS and company procedures.
- Complete installation check sheets and handover documentation.
- Liaise with customers and site management during projects.
- Support commissioning and operational testing.
- Work nationwide with regular overnight stays.
- Electrical engineering experience within industrial environments.
- Experience with conveyor systems or automated materials handling equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Electrical fault\-finding skills.
- ECS or CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work away from home during the week.
- Positive attitude and willingness to support mechanical installation activities.
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
- Forklift licence.
- MEWP experience.
- Experience within logistics, parcel, manufacturing or warehouse automation sectors.
- Knowledge of PLC\-controlled systems.
