Electrical Service Engineer (Offshore)

*Electrical Service Engineer*
Outreach Offshore Limited, based in Falkirk Scotland, supply and install Hydraulic Lifting, Handling and Access Equipment for Marine, Offshore Oil \& Gas and Renewable Energy sectors., including Cranes manufactured by the Palfinger Group. Ancillary activities include Installation, Load Testing, Repair, Servicing, Commissioning, Demonstration and Operator Training. We also provide Engineering and Design Services.

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Service Engineer (Electrical) to join Outreach Offshore Limited primarily involved in installation, repair, test, and maintenance of a variety of hydraulic lifting equipment. You must be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK and worldwide.

Required experience/qualifications:

HNC/HND electrical engineering or equivalent

Recognised apprenticeship

2391/2394 and 2395 Test and Inspection (or equivalent)

PLC programming and fault\-finding experience

VSD and Programming Experience

Inspection and Testing Experience

Service and repair of equipment in the field

Strong understanding and awareness of health and safety on site

Full Driving Licence

Desirable:

Working on hydraulic lifting equipment, i.e. cranes (advantageous)

18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations Certificate

Hands on mechanical/hydraulic experience

Industrial electrical experience

Working on 24V systems

Ability to understand the principles associated with mechanics, electrics, and hydraulics in relating to lifting equipment

BOSIET Certification

GWO Certification

General Skills/Attributes

Basic computer skills

Able to work remotely without close supervision but also as part of a team

Attention to detail, ability to get things done efficiently

Demonstrating real enthusiasm for interactions with customers

Excellent verbal and written skills

Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous offshore and overtime rates will regularly apply in addition to basic salary.
