Electrical Installation Lecturer

Reed FE are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Electrical Installations to join a post 16 college in London. This role is ideal for someone with substantial industry experience as an electrician and a passion for teaching and learner development. Lecturer in Electrical Installations

• Annual Salary: £33,026 - £47,114 (depending on qualifications)


• Location: London


• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to learners from Level 1 to Level 3 in Electrical Installations.


• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials based on the curriculum and industry standards.


• Assess and evaluate learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback.


• Maintain up-to-date records of learners' progress and attendance.


• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure content is relevant and current.


• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and participate in continuous professional development.


• Support learners in achieving their educational and career goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., , Gold Card or equivalent).


• Substantial industry experience as an electrician.


• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for teaching and learner development.


• A Level 5 teaching qualification, such as DETS, or a willingness to work towards one.


• Possess an assessor qualification or be prepared to undertake the qualification.


• Recent and relevant experience of teaching subjects to learners from Level 1 to Level 3, including 8202, 18th edition, and 2391.


• Knowledge of Electrical Installation City & Guilds.
