Electrical Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Duties

• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive electrical estimates


• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and constraints


• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns covering labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services


• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness


• Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and update estimates as needed


• Identify potential cost savings and efficiencies without compromising quality or safety standards


• Maintain an organised database of historical costs and market trends for accurate future estimations


• Assist in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms


• Ensure all estimates comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client specifications


• Assisting site meetings to survey

Qualifications

• 1\+ years of experience in electrical estimating


• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation processes


• Demonstrable expertise in cost control techniques and budget management


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Proficient in estimating software programmes and Microsoft Office Suite


• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy


• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams


• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or construction management are preferred


• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.


• Experience/knowledge of Luckins live


• Advantageous to have experience in SEC estimating software
