You will be working in the Building Services Operating Unit, in the Commercial Property Maintenance (CPM) department, delivering nationwide facilities management, including M\&E support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance, using technology for efficient planned and reactive services.
We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer, based at Fitzroy Place, London, who will be responsible for the electrical maintenance, response, and fault analysis of building operations at this project.
As the Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Deliver day\-to\-day maintenance and servicing of the electrical infrastructure, including breakdown support across mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault diagnosis in accordance with agreed service level agreements.
- Carry out fault\-finding, plant adjustments, and detailed inspection of electrical services, plant, and systems, ensuring all work is completed in line with contract specifications.
- Operate in full compliance with Safe Systems of Work and apply them appropriately in the delivery of contractual duties.
- Support the induction of subcontractors and ensure all personnel are deployed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Adhere to company Health \& Safety policies, statutory requirements, and Skanska’s Injury Free Environment (IFE) principles at all times.
- Electrical City \& Guilds NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualified, or equivalent, with BMS experience.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance relating to HVAC and water treatment.
- IOSH Working Safely qualified, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a customer\-facing role, preferably within a commercial maintenance environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and logical and evidence\-based approach to problem solving.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements within areas of responsibility.
