As a Classroom Support Worker at G.A.T.E, you will provide one\-on\-one or two\-on\-one support to students, promoting positive behaviours and engagement in learning. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, particularly those with challenging behaviours and additional learning needs. A full UK driving license is ESSENTIAL for this role.
The Educational Support Worker plays a critical role in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment at Midway Transitional Solutions educational service G.A.T.E. They facilitate learning through a variety of instructional approaches, workshops, and individual/group activities. The goal is to guide students or learners through educational materials, ensuring they understand and apply the concepts taught, while encouraging independent learning and problem\-solving skills. Educational Support Workers closely with the Education Manager and other external bodies to ensure that the educational goals of the service are met effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Working on a 2:1 or 1:1 basis with students to support their educational and personal development.
· Assisting students with challenging behaviour and providing guidance to help them succeed in the classroom.
· Supporting students with additional learning needs, adapting to meet individual requirements.
· Engaging students in educational activities, workshops, and social events.
· Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and reports.
· Acting as a positive role model, encouraging positive relationships and healthy interactions.
· Facilitate and moderate discussions, workshops, and collaborative projects among learners, education manager, and other participants.
· Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to enhance learners skills and performance.
· Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning activities and materials for continuous improvement.
· Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
· Encourage student participation and engagement.
· Enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
· Undertaking other educational administrative tasks and general support to the Educational Manager as when required.
Requirements for the Role:
· Experience of working with challenging behaviours and additional learning needs – essential
· Experience in an educational or classroom support role – desirable
· Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or equivalent – desirable
· Flexibility to work varying shifts and cover sickness when required – essential
· Confidence to manage and redirect challenging behaviour effectively – essential
· Strong Communication Skills to liaise with external agencies and other professionals – essential
· Commitment to promoting the educational development and wellbeing of students – essential
· Full UK Driving License and access to your own transport – essential
