Job Description

The Ecommerce Trading Manager is responsible for supporting and delivering sales and profit targets across onsite digital channels including Office, Offspring, Offcuts, Apps, and concessions. This role manages day to day online trading performance, promotional execution, forecasting, and onsite optimisation, ensuring the customer experience, brand messaging, and commercial objectives are aligned. The role works closely with the wider Ecommerce team and cross functional stakeholders to support ecommerce strategy, reporting, and user experience improvements.### Key Responsibilities

Trading, Sales \& Forecasting

  • Support delivery of the annual online sales plan, reviewing performance and recommending actions to help achieve business targets

  • Forecast sales and order volumes, working with Distribution Centre teams to support capacity and resource planning

  • Support and execute the online trading strategy across digital channels, identifying opportunities to improve margin, conversion, and customer experience

  • Manage and deliver digital trading activity, key promotional events, and peak trading periods

  • Contribute to trading and planning meetings, highlighting risks and opportunities where appropriate

  • Work closely with Buying \& Merchandising teams to ensure stock supports trading and promotional activity
Performance Reporting \& Insight
  • Prepare and support ecommerce trading and performance reporting, including: o Daily trading and sales analysis o Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance packs o Brand, content, and promotional performance reporting

  • Monitor sales performance daily and propose actionable optimisations to: o Improve underperforming products o Maximise bestseller performance o Increase conversion and revenue • Share performance insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders, brands, and partners where relevant
People Management \& Leadership
  • Support, coach, and develop direct reports

  • Set clear objectives, support regular 1 2 1s, and contribute to performance reviews where applicable

  • Support team development and progression, encouraging ownership and accountability

  • Translate trading plans by channel and site to support effective execution
Site Content, UX \& Visual Merchandising
  • Manage the onsite content and trading calendar, ensuring alignment with the wider marketing and business calendar

  • Ensure the homepage and key pages balance brand storytelling, newness, and commercial performance

  • Oversee promotional plans, including forecasting, execution, post\-event analysis, and action plans

  • Manage VM tools to optimise onsite merchandising and trading performance

  • Support trade optimisation activity including A/B testing and UX experimentation

  • Review and coordinate onsite content, including: o Homepage o Navigation o Banners and imagery o Emails and onsite messaging

  • Keep the Ecommerce Director and wider team informed of performance, risks, and successes Projects \& Continuous Improvement

  • Support and contribute to ecommerce initiatives such as: o Personalisation roadmap o Categorisation and navigation projects o New tools and platform improvements

  • Work with Project and Technology teams to improve ecommerce tools and processes

  • Identify and investigate new trading initiatives and optimisation opportunities

Qualifications and Experience

ESSENTIAL

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in online trading within a fast paced digital retail environment

  • Experience supporting, coaching, or managing others

  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent visual merchandising capability

  • Experience in fashion retail with a strong eye for detail

  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with VM tools and basic HTML

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics

  • Excellent organisation, communication, and time\-management skills Desirable

  • Experience with tools such as Fredhopper / Attraqt or similar

  • ContentSquare or SAP Hybris experience \& Shopify experience

  • Knowledge of product lifecycle and supply chain processes
