About Us

MG Domestic is a well\-established, family\-run domestic appliance retailer based in Hyde. Trading for over 40 years, we sell a wide range of major domestic appliances both from our large showroom and online.

We are looking for an experienced E\-commerce Website \& Marketplace Specialist to join our team and take responsibility for maintaining and developing our online product presence.

The Role

This is a hands\-on e\-commerce position ideal for someone who has previous experience managing website content, online product listings and marketplace platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Adding and updating products on our e\-commerce website


• Creating accurate and engaging product titles, descriptions and specifications


• Uploading and managing product images


• Keeping prices, promotions and product information up to date


• Managing product categories and ensuring products are displayed correctly


• Creating and maintaining listings across online marketplaces


• Monitoring listings for errors, missing information and incorrect pricing


• Improving existing product pages to increase their quality and effectiveness


• Supporting online promotions, offers and seasonal campaigns


• Helping maintain a professional and consistent appearance across our website


• Working with suppliers and product information to ensure specifications are accurate


• Assisting with the continued development and improvement of our online sales channels

About You

Previous e\-commerce experience is required for this position.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with an e\-commerce website or online retail business


• Has experience creating and maintaining online product listings


• Is confident using website content management systems


• Has experience with online marketplaces


• Has good computer and general IT skills


• Has excellent attention to detail


• Has good written English and can produce clear product descriptions


• Is organised and able to manage a large number of products and updates


• Can work independently and prioritise their own workload


• Understands the importance of accurate pricing, specifications and product information

Experience within domestic appliances, electrical retail or a similar product\-based retail environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
