Located on Ludgate Hill, just on the corner of St Paul’s cathedral, one of the most iconic London landmarks, Lost Property hotel has 145 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar called Found, a coffee house called Tattle, and a gym.

About the role

As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day\-to\-day operation of the hotel, ensuring our guests receive an exceptional experience from arrival through to departure. Acting as a visible leader across the hotel, you will support all departments, oversee operational standards, and be the first point of contact for guest concerns, service recovery, health safety matters, and operational challenges. You will lead by example, creating memorable guest experiences while supporting and developing the wider team. This is a hands\-on role requiring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast\-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and support the day\-to\-day operation of the hotel during your shift.

  • Deliver exceptional guest service and act as the main point of contact for guest enquiries, feedback and complaints.

  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel, particularly within guest\-facing areas.

  • Support and motivate team members to deliver high standards of service and operational excellence.

  • Welcome and assist VIP guests, corporate clients and long\-stay guests.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and implement actions to continuously improve performance.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel procedures, brand standards, health safety requirements and emergency protocols.

  • Drive revenue through upselling, room inventory management and promotion of the Hilton Honors programme.

  • Support the achievement of departmental and hotel performance targets.

  • Handle operational issues, incidents and emergencies professionally and effectively.
About you
  • Previous supervisory experience within Front Office, Guest Services or Hotel Operations, ideally within a hotel environment.

  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Strong leadership skills with a hands\-on and proactive approach.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.

  • Confident handling guest complaints, service recovery and operational challenges.

  • Calm under pressure and able to make effective decisions in a fast\-paced environment.

  • Good understanding of hotel operations, health safety requirements and emergency procedures.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience using ONQ, PEP or similar hotel systems would be advantageous, as would previous Hilton brand experience.

Lost Property St. Paul's Hotel is located on Ludgate Hill, 100 metres from St. Paul’s Cathedral and it is the newest addition to the Curio Collection within the Hilton portfolio in London.

The hotel consists of six floors and includes the buildings original façade. Lost Property St. Pauls features a charming restaurant and bar called Found but also a a neighbourly Coffee House \- Tattle \- offering British produced sourced locally.

The Interior design includes classic features and rich tones to complement the façade and immediate vicinity. Each room is influenced by eclectic artwork and contemporary design touches inspired by the London’s rich history in partnership with Key Interior and Designs and ICA Studio.

BREEAM approved with an “Excellent” rating the hotel will feature an upscale brand experience, courtesy of Curio by Hilton.
