Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Dry Etch Equipment Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of dry etch equipment used in semiconductor fabrication processes. Your expertise will drive process improvements, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the highest standards of equipment performance and process quality. Duties

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain dry etch equipment to ensure precise etching processes aligned with manufacturing specifications.

  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures or process deviations, implementing effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.

  • Develop and update schematics, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD tools.

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), tooling systems, and mechanical components.

  • Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to optimize tooling setups, improve process efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Interpret GD\&T (Geometric Dimensioning \& Tolerancing) specifications for component fabrication and assembly tasks involving plastics injection molding or welding.

  • Support the design and modification of equipment layouts and schematics to enhance process reliability and safety standards.
Experience
  • Proven experience working with dry etch or plasma etching equipment within semiconductor manufacturing or related high\-tech industries.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands\-on experience in fabrication, tooling, welding, and assembly processes.

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks for designing schematics and mechanical components.

  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.

  • Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes and related tooling considerations is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis effectively while leading continuous improvement projects.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical procedures clearly and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: £42,337\.05\-£176,887\.53 per year
