Domiciliary Care Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high\-quality in\-home care to clients within their own residences. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of needs, including elderly care, dementia, and other health conditions. The successful candidate will play a vital part in enhancing the independence and wellbeing of those they assist, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised care in a safe environment. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable.

Duties

• Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Support clients with medication administration and health monitoring as required


• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences


• Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers and movement


• Manage behaviour and provide emotional support, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease


• Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands using a company vehicle where necessary


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to supervisors


• Implement first aid procedures when necessary and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols


• Engage in light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment


• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care roles is preferred


• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and behaviour management techniques


• Relevant certifications such as first aid training are advantageous


• Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely


• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients


• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely


• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others


• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

Pay: £13\.50\-£17\.00 per hour
