About Intelligent Repairs

Intelligent Repairs is the in\-house maintenance division of ELC Sales \& Lettings, supporting a large residential property portfolio across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

We operate very differently from many maintenance companies.

You will not be chasing work, pricing jobs, or dealing with disorganised scheduling.

We are a structured property business with:

• A large managed property portfolio


• A dedicated admin team handling scheduling and communication


• A steady pipeline of planned servicing and repair work

Our engineers are able to focus on what they do best — diagnosing and repairing heating systems properly.

This role is ideal for an experienced domestic gas engineer who:

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing and repairing domestic heating systems across our managed residential portfolio.

Typical duties include:

• Diagnosing and repairing domestic gas boilers


• Carrying out annual Gas Safety Certificates


• Servicing boilers and heating systems


• Identifying faults accurately and efficiently


• Replacing system components where required


• Advising on system condition and future works


• Ensuring all work is compliant and documented correctly


• Maintaining professional standards when working in occupied homes

Most engineers typically complete 4–6 jobs per day depending on complexity, allowing time to properly diagnose faults and carry out work safely.

This is primarily residential domestic work within our managed property portfolio.

There is no heavy commercial plant and no chaotic call\-out culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5\+ years’ experience working with domestic gas boilers


• Strong diagnostic ability across a range of boiler manufacturers


• Gas Safe Registered


• Methodical and organised approach to work


• Conscientious and detail\-focused


• Comfortable working independently


• Professional and respectful when working with tenants and landlords
