The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the day to day distribution of all releases to DSP and ensuring exceptional metadata \& delivery standards across the full catalogue. Further, they will be pitching new music to DSP partners, managing rights \& conflicts, and interfacing with our label and artist partners on any queries related to how music appears on DSP platforms. They are process driven and detail oriented. They are an integral part of the music release process and will be communicating regularly with AEI product managers, labels and DSP representatives from both operational and editorial programming roles.

Distribution: They are responsible for new release distribution, entering and checking metadata and delivery settings, metadata and asset updates, label support, DSP profile and release auditing, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok tier monitoring.

Pitching: DSP pitching across Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, Amazon and Deezer, and overseeing Ad Credit pitches.

Rights \& Conflicts: Overseeing rights ownership on all DSP as well as Neighbouring Rights.

Labels: Setting up new rightsholders in AEI's platform, Transparency, and making sure DSP label and artist profiles are set up correctly to receive new catalogue. Working with labels to get the right quality metadata and assets live on platforms.

Must Haves / Behaviours

  • Highly organised, process driven, detail\-oriented, problem\-solver with a meticulous approach to data administration.

  • Knowledge of the music industry, the digital distribution supply chain, licences and the overall music distribution landscape.

  • Clear understanding of different DSPs, music markets, territories, inner workings, opportunities and how to effectively communicate with them.

  • Knowledgeable about music marketing and success drivers, music data, and understanding how to translate and action these clearly

  • Understanding music rights, disputes and conflicts

  • Keen eye for repeated or ‘mirrored’ tasks \& processes with recommendations for automation

  • Strong knowledge and affinity for the electronic music landscape, and familiarity with AEI’s label brands
