We are looking to recruit an experienced Bank Dispenser to join our friendly dispensary team on a zero\-hours basis, providing flexible cover to meet the needs of the practice. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking flexible work whilst remaining part of a supportive and professional team.
We wish to employ an experienced Dispenser who actively enjoys providing excellent, friendly and compassionate service to our patients, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy environment with lots of face\-to\-face and telephone patient contact and will be a proactive member of our team, working not only with dispensary colleagues but with the wider practice team of Reception, Admin, Nurses and GPs.
Main Duties of the Role
As a Bank Dispenser, you will provide cover for annual leave, sickness absence and periods of increased demand. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered as required by the practice and according to your availability.
Person Specification
To qualify for shortlisting, your CV will need to demonstrate:
- BTEC/NVQ Level 2 recognised dispensing qualification (or equivalent)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- A strong team\-working ethos
We offer competitive terms and conditions and are keen to support the right candidate in developing their skills. This is a genuinely flexible role, with working hours agreed according to both your availability and the cover requirements of the practice.
Pay: £13\.00 per hour, increasing to £13\.17 per hour from October 2026\.
