We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team in Ashbourne, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the commercial refrigeration and catering equipment industry. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to diagnose, service, install, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment while gaining valuable hands\-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Learn to service and maintain commercial fridges, freezers, cold rooms, and catering equipment.
- Support the installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Assist in identifying and replacing faulty components.
- Complete service reports, job sheets, and photographs using the company mobile app.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues while on\-site.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organised condition.
Requirements
- A keen interest in refrigeration/electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good problem\-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools (preferred but not essential).
- Full, clean driving licence (preferred).
- Applicants must currently be living in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland. As Company. is not in a position to provide Any Permit/visa sponsorship.
