Full\-Time Dispensary Technician

Location: Nettlebed Surgery, Henley\-on\-Thames
Hours: Monday to Friday (Full\-Time)

About Us

Nettlebed Surgery is a friendly, patient\-focused GP practice serving a local population of approximately 4000 patients, with a well\-established dispensing service supporting the majority of our patients . We are committed to delivering high\-quality care in a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Dispensary Technician to join our team. This is a full\-time position working Monday to Friday, providing a safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing service to our patients.

The successful candidate must be confident working independently within a dispensary setting and committed to maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently


• Managing repeat prescriptions and supporting prescription workflows


• Maintaining accurate records using clinical systems, EMIS


• Ordering, receiving, and managing dispensary stock


• Ensuring correct storage and stock rotation of medicines


• Supporting audits and maintaining dispensary standards


• Providing excellent customer service to patients


• Working closely with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff

QualificationsEssential

• Computer literacy


• Formal qualification at NVQ2 or NVQ3 level


• Experience of working in a General Practice dispensary or retail pharmacy


• Good standard of general education

Desirable

• Experience of using EMIS web
