Overview:
To ensure the accurate, safe, and efficient dispatch of poultry products in accordance with customer specifications, company procedures, food safety standards, and legal requirements. The Dispatch Operative is responsible for preparing, checking, loading and dispatching products while maintaining traceability, product quality and stock accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, prepare, and assemble customers orders in accordance with dispatch schedules and specifications
- Verify product quantities, labels, batch codes and customer requirements before dispatch.
- Ensure all products are dispatched accurately and on time.
- Load vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and transport regulations.
- Complete all dispatch documentation accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with processes.
- Complete all safety checks on equipment prior to use and check after for damage.
- Ensure waste is disposed of safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legal requirement.
- Take responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe and orderly working environment, including the proper care and operation of machinery and equipment within your designated work area.
- Safe Operation of PPTs, EPTS and FLTs.
- Maintain product integrity and ensure the cold chain is always maintained.
- Follow all Food Safety, HACCP, Quality and Hygiene Procedures.
- Report and product quality concerns, damaged goods or discrepancies immediately to management.
- Ensure full product traceability throughout the dispatch process.
- Adhere to all Health \& Safety and procedures.
- Operate equipment safely and only do so if trained and authorised to do so.
- Always wear appropriate PPE.
- Report hazards, accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good attention to detail and awareness of animal welfare
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Comfortable working in a production environment involving live animals
- PPT Licence
Pay: £13\.80 per hour
Expected hours: 45\.0 per week
