DISPATCH AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER
We are currently looking for an organised and reliable Dispatch and Distribution Manager to manage and improve our daily transport and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
\* Plan and manage daily delivery schedules and multi\-drop delivery routes.
\* Allocate drivers, vehicles, routes and delivery time slots.
\* Supervise delivery drivers and monitor attendance, punctuality and performance.
\* Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are checked, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time.
\* Monitor deliveries and respond to delays, shortages, rejected deliveries and vehicle problems.
\* Oversee the safe distribution of fresh, chilled and frozen food products.
\* Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, fuel, vehicle inspection and temperature\-control records.
\* Monitor delivery costs, fuel consumption and vehicle utilisation.
\* Coordinate vehicle servicing, MOT, insurance, maintenance and defect reporting.
\* Handle delivery\-related customer enquiries, complaints and order discrepancies.
\* Ensure compliance with road safety, food hygiene, health and safety and working\-time requirements.
\* Prepare regular delivery and operational performance reports for management.
\* Support the recruitment, training and supervision of delivery staff.
\* Help improve the company’s ordering, inventory, routing and delivery\-management systems.
Requirements
\* Previous experience in delivery, transport, distribution, logistics or a related operational role.
\* Good understanding of multi\-drop deliveries and route planning.
\* Strong organisational, communication and problem\-solving skills.
\* Ability to coordinate drivers, vehicles, customer orders and changing priorities.
\* Good computer skills, including spreadsheets and operational systems.
\* Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
\* Good written and spoken English.
\* A full UK driving licence is desirable.
\* Experience in food wholesale or chilled\-food distribution is desirable.

Pay: £34,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
