Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring support with daily activities. The role involves working closely with clients to promote independence, safety, and well\-being within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in caring for others and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and household tasks


• Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families


• Support clients in participating in social and recreational activities to promote engagement and well\-being


• Provide transportation as needed, including driving clients to appointments or community activities


• Monitor and record client progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the relevant team members


• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery

• Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely within the community


• Knowledge of childcare practices and support strategies tailored to individual needs


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families


• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and quality of life


• Ability to work flexibly within scheduled shifts, including some evenings or weekends if required.


• Looking for Personal Assistants for the following \-


• Thursday, Friday (on contract)


• Tuesday Wednesday contract)


• Two Saturdays a month (on contract)


• Bank work (to cover possible shifts Tuesday\- Saturday)


• To start immediately pending PVG application.


• Driver's license essential.
