Trainee Stock Assistant
Job Summary \& Duties
This role will be focused on stock handling and stock control to aid in the efficient and orderly running of the pharmacy dispensary. Full training will be provided and the successful candidate will be required to:
- Develop an understanding of the stock held within the dispensary, stock held by the branch and anticipate the stock needs of the dispensing team;
- Develop an understanding of the required stock level of the dispensary to ensure that the branch is not needlessly overstocked;
- Create a network of supplier contacts to enable swift resolution of stock issues such as stock returns and sourcing out of stock items or items with manufacturing and/or supply chain issues;
- Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Ensure daily productivity of sales orders coming through the pharmacy branch ensuring customer service expectation levels are maintained continuously;
- Own and report pharmacy KPIs daily to the Pharmacy Manager, including but not limited to: Orders Completed, Orders Not Completed, Issue Log, Returns, Productivity, Inventory Management.
You may stand and walk for a long time; this could be more than 8 hours per shift. You may need to lift and move products that weigh up to 23kg. You will need to be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel and crouch.
The successful candidate must possess an understanding of the need for confidentiality within the pharmacy environment and be committed to a professional approach in developing their role and skills. Previous experience in managing stock and inventory would be essential.
Pay: £12\.71\-£13\.75 per hour
