Your new role

As Director, Head of Regulatory, Quality and Clinical Reporting (RQC) Business Development, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of RQC and strategic business development. Reporting to the Vice President and head of Science, Policy \& Intelligence (SPI), you will lead a team of experts and act as a key representative in high\-impact business development evaluations and due diligences across the portfolio.

You will be responsible for transforming regulatory complexity into actionable strategies that strengthen decision\-making and enhance the value of development assets. You will drive both operational excellence and long\-term strategic direction in a global setting.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, developing, and inspiring a high\-performing team, ensuring strong performance and capability building

  • Representing RQC in business development activities, including due diligences and regulatory assessments across therapeutic areas

  • Defining and executing the strategic direction for RQC Business Development, shaping roadmaps and enable informed portfolio decisions

  • Ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders and enabling seamless transition of assets into development following deal closure

  • Driving strong collaborative behavior to the SPI leadership team and proactively contributes to build the foundation for the newly established SPI function
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and shape decisions at senior levels across the organisation.

Your new department

You will join the RQC Business Development team within Science, Policy \& Intelligence (SPI), a strategic function at the forefront to transform R\&D policy complexity into competitive advantages and assess BD deals.

The team plays a critical role in supporting business development initiatives by providing regulatory, quality, and strategic insights that shape investment decisions and asset development pathways. Operating in a globally connected environment, the function collaborates closely with stakeholders across R\&D, BD, legal, and external partners.

As part of the SPI Leadership Team, you will contribute to shaping the broader strategic agenda, strengthening cross\-functional collaboration, and building capabilities that enable long\-term business success.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring a strong combination of leadership experience, strategic mindset, and deep understanding of the drug and device development value chain.

We expect you to have:

  • A Master in Science’s degree in the field pharmaceuticals, regulatory sciences, public health or equivalent

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high\-performing teams with minimum of 8 years leadership experience

  • Solid experience within regulatory affairs, R\&D quality, and/or business development in the pharmaceutical industry of minimum 15 years

  • Strong strategic thinking and decision\-making capabilities, with the ability to translate complexity into clear direction and high business impact

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

What we offer

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 940,800 to 1,448,700 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short\-term and/or long\-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
