Director, Head of Public Cloud & Platform Architecture

Duties \& Responsibilities

Platform Architecture

• Define and maintain the overall architecture strategy, principles, and guardrails for Sentia’s platform capabilities.


• Own architectural decision\-making for platform\-related topics impacting scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency acting within an ELT\-governed framework.


• Ensure alignment between platform architecture and business needs defined with Business Owners and Product Portfolio Management.


• Act as escalation point for architectural conflicts and cross\-domain technical decisions.


• Ensure documentation of architecture standards, reference architectures, and design patterns is maintained and accessible.

Public Cloud Operations \& Consulting

• Own end\-to\-end responsibility for Public Cloud operations, including stability, availability, performance, and operational maturity.


• Ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable operational processes across Public Cloud environments.


• Oversee delivery of Public Cloud consulting services, ensuring high\-quality execution and alignment with customer and commercial commitments.


• Drive continuous improvement of operational practices, including automation, incident management, and service reliability engineering practices.


• Ensure capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritisation across operational and consulting activities.


• Monitor and improve service quality, delivery predictability, and customer satisfaction across operational engagements.


• Ensure that operational learnings are systematically fed back into platform and architecture improvements.

Leadership \& Strategic Execution

• Lead and develop teams within Public Cloud Operations and Platform Architecture, ensuring high performance and accountability.


• Ensure clear prioritisation, coordination, and execution discipline across teams and initiatives.


• Drive progress on strategic initiatives, ensuring structured follow\-up, removal of blockers, and delivery against agreed milestones.


• Establish strong and continuous collaboration with Business Owners), ensuring alignment between commercial priorities and technical execution.


• Ensure transparency on delivery capacity, constraints, and trade\-offs to support informed decision\-making at management level.


• Foster a culture of ownership, execution focus, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

The role of Director, Head of Public Cloud \& Platform Architecture is part of Technology and Operations.

The role holds end\-to\-end responsibility for the operational stability and continuous development of the Public Cloud operations and the platform architecture across both Public Cloud and Sentia Cloud platform capabilities.

The role acts as a key interface between Technology and Operations and the Business Owners across Sentia, who hold P\&L accountability. A close and structured collaboration with these stakeholders is essential to ensure alignment between commercial priorities, customer requirements, and technical execution.

The role is expected to demonstrate strong commercial mindset and accountability (“købmandsskab”), ensuring that technical decisions, operational priorities, and architectural direction are continuously evaluated against cost, value creation, scalability, and business impact. This includes active contribution to prioritisation discussions, ensuring that resources are allocated to initiatives with the highest commercial and strategic return.

In addition, the role is expected to operate with a high degree of proactivity, continuously identifying improvement opportunities, operational risks, and optimisation potentials across platforms and operations. The role should not only respond to business needs but actively shape and challenge direction where it improves efficiency, quality, or business outcomes.

In addition, the role has a strong connection to Product Portfolio Management, ensuring that strategic initiatives are translated into executable roadmaps, properly governed, and delivered with measurable impact.

A core part of the role is driving execution discipline and ensuring consistent progress on strategic initiatives across teams and functions, with clear ownership, follow\-up, and removal of blockers to secure delivery momentum.

Work experience and qualifications

Your profile

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree within IT, engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience.


• Minimum 5 years of experience from similar leadership roles within cloud operations, infrastructure, platform engineering, or related technology areas.


• Proven experience leading technical teams and driving cross\-functional collaboration in complex organisational environments.


• Strong understanding of Public Cloud technologies, operational excellence, and platform architecture principles.


• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives from planning to execution while ensuring stakeholder alignment and measurable progress.


• Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, including Business Owners and management teams with commercial and P\&L responsibilities.


• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical quality, operational efficiency, customer value, and business priorities.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across varying levels of technical understanding.


• Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives, priorities, and dependencies in a structured and proactive manner.


• Proven ability to create clarity, momentum, and accountability in dynamic and fast\-changing environments.
