Company Overview

Edinburgh Honey Co is a premium Scottish artisan food brand with over 70 years of family beekeeping heritage. We sell raw, unfiltered honey harvested from hives across East and West Lothian through two Edinburgh retail shops (Easter Road and Morningside), our online store, and wholesale accounts across Scotland. We are in an active growth phase: a new experiential venue (Canonmills) is in development, and we are migrating our entire digital commerce operation from WooCommerce to Zoho Commerce, consolidating our CRM, eCommerce, campaigns, and analytics into a single integrated platform. This role sits at the centre of that transition.

Summary

This is a dual\-ownership role for someone who can run paid digital channels at a high standard while also taking the lead on our move to Zoho Commerce. You will own Google Ads, Meta, and performance analytics, and you will be the driving force behind migrating our eCommerce store from WooCommerce (miod.co) to Zoho Commerce, ensuring a seamless transition with no loss of trading performance or data integrity. You will work closely with our Marketing Lead and Brand Lead, and report directly to the Director. This is not a support role, you set the digital performance agenda, own the numbers, and lead a platform migration that will define how Edinburgh Honey Co trades online for the next several years.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Digital \- Google Ads \& Meta (Core)

  • Own and manage all Google Ads campaigns: Brand Search, non\-brand Search, and Performance Max\- with full accountability for ROAS, CPA, and conversion volume

  • Manage Meta Ads end\-to\-end: campaign strategy, audience targeting, creative briefing, structured A/B testing, and new customer acquisition

  • Drive paid channel revenue to at least 20% of total online sales

  • Continuously optimise campaigns with documented evidence of changes, hypotheses, and outcomes active management, not passive monitoring

  • Deliver monthly performance summaries covering spend, ROAS, CPA, conversion volume, and next actions
Zoho Commerce Migration (Priority Project)
  • Lead the migration of our WooCommerce store (miod.co) to Zoho Commerce \- including product catalogue, customer data, order history, and payment integrations

  • Configure Zoho Commerce to match current trading functionality: product variations, bundles, gifting, checkout flow, and wholesale pricing where applicable

  • Ensure cross\-domain tracking is correctly configured between edinburghhoney.co.uk (brand site) and the new Zoho Commerce store from day one \- including GA4, GTM, and Google Ads conversion tracking

  • Integrate Zoho Commerce with Zoho CRM, Zoho Campaigns, and Zoho Books to create a unified data and operations pipeline

  • Manage SEO continuity through the migration: redirect mapping, metadata preservation, and monitoring for ranking impact post\-launch

  • Own the migration timeline, flag risks early, and keep the Director informed throughout Zoho Ecosystem \& CRM

  • Implement and optimise Zoho modules relevant to digital operations: Campaigns (email marketing), CRM (customer segmentation and lifecycle), Commerce, and analytics dashboards

  • Deliver a minimum of one Zoho improvement or automation per month, documented with outcome and business benefit

  • Maintain CRM data accuracy and integrity as a non\-negotiable baseline

  • Build and manage Zoho Campaigns email capture forms and automated flows
Analytics \& Conversion Optimisation
  • Own GA4 as the source of truth for digital performance across both domains, ensuring clean attribution throughout and post\-migration

  • Configure and maintain cross\-domain measurement so user journeys between edinburghhoney.co.uk and the new Zoho Commerce store are tracked as a single session

  • Manage Google Tag Manager: tag implementation, gclid passthrough, conversion goals, and UTM governance

  • Improve conversion rate quarter\-on\-quarter \- set a clean baseline post\-migration and build from it

  • Build seasonal campaign landing pages for key trading periods: Royal Highland Show, hay fever season, Christmas gifting
SEO
  • On\-page SEO across both domains: metadata, schema markup, site structure, and internal linking

  • Manage technical SEO continuity through the Zoho Commerce migration \- this is a critical risk area and must be planned carefully

  • Monitor organic performance post\-migration and act on any ranking movements quickly
Who We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven, hands\-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns \- you can show ROAS and CPA numbers from campaigns you personally managed

  • Experience with Meta Ads: campaign setup, audience strategy, A/B testing, and performance analysis

  • Solid understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and cross\-domain tracking configuration

  • Experience managing or migrating an eCommerce platform \- you understand product catalogues, checkout flows, payment integrations, and data migration

  • Strong SEO awareness, particularly around platform migrations and technical continuity

  • Self\-directed and accountable \- you own your area, document your work, and communicate problems before they escalate
Desirable \- will significantly strengthen your application
  • Direct experience with Zoho Commerce, Zoho CRM, or Zoho Campaigns

  • Experience migrating from WooCommerce or Shopify to another platform

  • Familiarity with Zoho Books or similar accounting integration

  • Experience with Performance Max and Google Shopping campaign structures

  • SEO tooling: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar
Performance \& Bonus Structure

This role carries a quarterly performance bonus of up to £500, assessed against a structured KPI framework. Targets are set at the start of each quarter and reviewed jointly with the Director.

The bonus is discretionary and non\-contractual, assessed on data trends, quality of execution, and evidence of active optimisation. Passive management does not qualify.
