Digital Marketing Consultant
Overview
Aira is one of the UK’s best\-known digital marketing agencies. You’ll find us speaking at the industry’s biggest events, winning awards and, most importantly, delivering our best possible work for our clients.
We're looking for a Digital Marketing Consultant to step into a strategic client\-facing role at the heart of our team.
This is perfect for someone who has strong hands\-on experience across organic marketing channels, understands enough to have a conversation about CRO and Paid Media, and is developing deeper expertise in one or two core areas. You’ll also have a keen interest in how AI is and will continue to shape the digital marketing industry.
You'll be working directly with our clients to ensure activity is planned, briefed, executed, and reported on to the highest standards. This is a role where you'll still be "doing the doing" \- applying your expertise to client work \- but also stepping up to manage accounts and guide strategy.
In short, this is the perfect role for an all\-rounder who loves to get stuck in, as well as having conversations with clients.
About the role
As a Digital Marketing Consultant, your responsibilities will cover:
Client \& Account Management
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders
- Act as the main day\-to\-day contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client needs are understood and met
- Know when to just “get it done”, and when to brief the activity into the delivery teams and oversee progress
- Lead regular client calls, presentations, and reporting sessions, providing clear recommendations and next steps
- Contribute to the development of digital marketing strategies for clients across multiple industries, with a focus on organic growth
- Use your T\-shaped expertise to identify opportunities and challenges across SEO / GEO, Content, CRO, and Analytics (GA4, GSC, GTM)
- Provide strategic input on how organic channels can work together to maximise client performance and ROI
- Help shape Paid Media strategy in collaboration with specialists \- you won't be managing advertising accounts day\-to\-day, but you'll need a solid working knowledge of how paid supports and amplifies organic activity
- Balance client management with direct delivery \- you'll still be hands\-on in your core areas of expertise (e.g. SEO, Content, CRO, Analytics)
- Own responsibility for ensuring activity across your accounts is well\-coordinated, high\-quality, and driving results
- Review and quality\-check outputs from specialists before they are shared with clients
- Monitor performance data to ensure activity is optimised and aligned with client goals
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and others) confidently in your day\-to\-day work to improve speed, quality, and strategic thinking
- Understand how LLMs actually work \- their strengths, limitations, and where they fit into a modern marketing workflow
- Help clients and colleagues understand how AI can be applied to their marketing strategies, from research and ideation through to content, analysis, and automation
- Stay close to developments in AI and search (LLM\-driven discovery, AI Overviews, generative engine optimisation) and feed insight back into our approach
- Work closely with channel specialists across SEO, Content, Digital PR, CRO, Paid Media, and Analytics to ensure seamless delivery
- Share your knowledge and mentor junior team members to support their growth
- Suggest and implement process improvements that improve efficiency and client outcomes

- Experience managing client accounts and coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders
