Digital Dental Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Digital Dental Technician to join our innovative dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in digital dentistry, with expertise in utilizing advanced CAD/CAM technology to design and produce precise dental restorations. The Digital Dental Technician will collaborate closely with dental professionals and patients, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional results through meticulous attention to detail and organizational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Utilize state\-of\-the\-art CAD (Computer\-Aided Design) software to create detailed digital models of dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implants.
- Operate and maintain digital milling machines and 3D printers to produce accurate dental prosthetics based on digital designs.
- Collaborate with dentists and orthodontists to interpret digital scans, ensuring the restorations meet clinical specifications and patient needs.
- Manage digital workflows efficiently, from scanning to design, fabrication, and quality control of final products.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, designs, and modifications for traceability and quality assurance purposes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in digital dentistry, continuously improving skills in IT systems and software applications relevant to the role.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external partners to coordinate project timelines and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Ensure all processes adhere strictly to health, safety, and regulatory standards within the dental laboratory environment.
- Proven experience working as a Dental Technician with a focus on digital workflows or CAD/CAM technology in a clinical or laboratory setting.
- Experience using 3SHAPE software
- Experience and knowledge of using PM7
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, materials science, and restorative techniques relevant to digital dentistry.
- Familiarity with patient care principles as they relate to prosthetic fabrication and customization.
- Manual dental work if required
- Basic understanding of IT systems used in digital dentistry, including scanning devices, design software, and manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Effective communication skills essential for collaborating with dental professionals, patients, and team members across diverse settings.
