THE ROLE

Fitzpatrick and Heavey Homes is looking for a Digital Content \& Social Media Specialist to own our day\-to\-day digital presence, planning, creating and publishing the content that tells the story of who we are and what we're building.

This is a hands\-on, creative role. You'll spot opportunities across the business, from a site breaking ground to a show home reveal to a first\-time buyer collecting their keys and turn them into content that feels timely and true to the brand. You'll write copy, shoot and edit video and photography, manage our social channels, and help keep our website up to date.

Working closely with the Group Marketing Manager, you'll build relationships across sales, construction, design and leadership to source stories, keep a clear content calendar, and make sure our developments and milestones get the attention they deserve.

We're a young, fast\-growing developer, so things move quickly. This suits someone proactive and organised who's comfortable shaping their own way of working. Prior experience in property or construction is a plus, but not essential. What matters more is good judgement, strong creative instincts and initiative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage our day\-to\-day presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.

  • Build and maintain a content calendar covering live developments, sales launches, construction milestones and company news.

  • Spot content opportunities across the business, such as site progress, show home openings, sales events, planning approvals, groundbreakings, buyer handovers, team news and awards, and turn them into ideas worth publishing.

  • Own content end to end: idea, capture, edit, caption, approval, scheduling and publishing.

  • Create short and long\-form content, photography, graphics, reels and campaign material for development launches.

  • Write clear copy for social, web and email, adapting tone for different audiences.

  • Monitor comments and messages, responding where appropriate and flagging anything sensitive to the Marketing Manager.

  • Track performance through platform insights and use what you learn to improve future content.

  • Keep the website and development microsites up to date, including new development pages, unit details, news and imagery, and apply good SEO practice

  • Bring a strong design eye to everything published, keeping tone of voice and visual identity consistent across every channel.

  • Liaise with photographers, videographers, designers and agencies as needed.

  • Support the Group Marketing Manager with wider campaigns as required.

  • Represent the company well at site events and launches.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • A third\-level qualification in marketing, multimedia, digital media, journalism, or a related field.

  • At least three years' experience creating content for digital and social media.

  • Good social media judgement: you know what makes content timely and platform\-appropriate, and can turn a rough opportunity into a publishable idea with minimal direction.

  • Excellent writing skills, with the range to adapt tone across audiences and platforms.

  • Experience shooting short\-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts or similar.

  • Comfortable capturing content in live, fast\-moving settings, such as construction sites, show homes and launch events (comfort with PPE and site safety requirements is a plus).

  • A practical grip on managing a website (CMS\-based, e.g. WordPress or Webflow) and basic SEO principles.

  • A strong eye for design, including layout, typography, colour and brand consistency.

  • Well organised, with the ability to run a content calendar and hit deadlines.

  • Confident building relationships across the business and with external partners.

  • Able to work independently, with the judgement to know when to check in or escalate.

  • Sharp attention to detail: names, dates, specs and pricing all need to be right.

  • A team player who's happy in a small, busy, fast\-growing marketing team.
Professional Knowledge \& Skills
  • Social media platform management: scheduling, publishing, monitoring and engagement.

  • Video capture and editing

  • Photography and image editing.

  • Copywriting for social, web and email.

  • Design and editing tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or equivalent.

  • CMS publishing and website management.

  • SEO fundamentals: keyword research, on\-page optimisation and basic performance tracking.
