About the Role Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Design & Technology (DT) Technician to support secondary schools across Liverpool.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a practical skillset and previous school-based or workshop experience to play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging DT lessons.

Key Responsibilities • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons

  • Support the DT Teacher with practical classroom activities

  • Maintain and organise workshop spaces and resources

  • Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use

  • Assist with stock control and ordering materials when required

  • Support students during practical sessions where appropriate

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Essential Requirements • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant practical/workshop environment is essential
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of health and safety within a DT or workshop setting

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A proactive and hands-on approach

  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills • Experience working within a school setting
  • Knowledge of materials such as wood, metal, plastics, or electronics

  • Familiarity with DT machinery and tools
