Deputy Ward Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individuals to join our experienced Senior Nursing Team within Ward 1\. The successful applicants will work closely with a Band 7 Senior Sister to deliver high standards of patient care and provide robust support to staff across the unit.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills in a fast\-paced, high\-acuity environment.
You will be expected to:
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate excellent communication, motivation, and enthusiasm
- Take on managerial responsibility for a number of staff within the nursing team
- Lead nurse\-led care on a shift\-by\-shift basis
- Deliver gold\-standard nursing practice across a diverse emergency caseload
- Act as a role model, leading by example in all areas of clinical practice
- Take charge in the absence of other senior staff
- Manage and respond to complaints and Datix reports professionally
- Champion specific areas of departmental interest to support ongoing service development
