We are seeking a proactive and motivated Deputy Practice Manager to support the day\-to\-day management and development of a busy GP practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare administrator, team leader, assistant practice manager, or existing deputy manager looking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Manager and Partners to ensure the smooth running of operational, administrative and patient services while supporting the delivery of high\-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall operational management of the practice.

  • Assist with the management and development of administrative and reception teams.

  • Monitor workloads, workflows and service delivery to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Support HR processes including recruitment, induction, training and staff development.

  • Assist with policy implementation, governance and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Help oversee patient services, complaints management and patient engagement activities.

  • Support achievement of contractual, regulatory and CQC requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, administrative staff and external organisations.

  • Assist with digital transformation projects and implementation of new ways of working, including digital triage systems.

  • Support change management and service improvement initiatives.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working within a GP practice, primary care, NHS or healthcare environment.

  • Possesses strong organisational and leadership skills.

  • Is confident managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is proactive, adaptable and solutions\-focused.

  • Demonstrates a good understanding of healthcare administration and operational processes.

  • Has experience supporting teams through change and service development.
