We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager with the day\-to\-day running of our services and lead our team in delivering safe, high\-quality care.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will provide leadership and operational support across our day and overnight services. You will work closely with Team Leaders, staff, families and professionals to ensure people receive safe, effective and person\-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day\-to\-day management of the services.
- Lead and support Team Leaders and care staff to deliver high\-quality, person\-centred care.
- Develop, review and maintain care plans and risk assessments.
- Complete audits, reports and quality assurance checks.
- Support safeguarding, incident management and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with staff supervision, training and development.
- Complete referrals and work with families, professionals and multi\-disciplinary teams (MDTs).
- Support continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care.
- Work 3 days supernumerary and 2 days providing direct support.
- Participate in the on\-call rota.
You will need:
- At least 2 years' experience in a senior role within adult health and social care, supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care qualification, or equivalent/working towards.
- Experience managing care plans, risk assessments, audits and reports.
- Experience making referrals and attending MDT meetings.
- Strong understanding of person\-centred care and safeguarding.
- Good knowledge of CQC requirements and adult social care standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and lead by example.
- Flexibility to support respite, day services and supported living.
- A full UK driving licence.
