Dental Receptionist – Full Time

Full time \| Permanent \| Monday–Friday \| No weekends

We are looking for a warm, organised and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team at Harpenden Dental Centre.

Our reception team is at the heart of the practice. You will often be the first person our patients speak to and the first person they meet when they arrive, so we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and providing excellent service.

Previous dental experience is welcome but is not essential. We are equally interested in finding the right person with excellent reception, administrative or customer\-service skills who is keen to learn.

Hours

44 paid hours per week

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:30pm


• Friday: 8:00am–4:30pm


• 30\-minute unpaid lunch break each day


• No weekend working

£14\.00–£16\.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Equivalent to approximately £32,032–£36,608 per year based on 44 paid hours per week.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients to the practice


• Answering incoming telephone calls


• Booking and managing appointments


• Responding to patient enquiries by telephone and email


• Taking payments


• Managing correspondence


• Helping coordinate appointments with our clinical team


• Maintaining accurate patient information


• Supporting the smooth day\-to\-day running of reception


• Providing a consistently friendly and professional patient experience

We are looking for someone who is:

• Warm, friendly and confident when dealing with people


• An excellent communicator, both face\-to\-face and on the telephone


• Calm and professional when reception becomes busy


• Highly organised with good attention to detail


• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems


• Reliable and punctual


• Professional in appearance and manner


• Able to work well as part of a team

We would be very happy to consider someone with strong reception, administrative or customer\-service experience from another professional environment and provide the necessary training.
