Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and dental health to develop their skills in a professional environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide patients with post\-treatment advice and instructions
- Record patient details accurately using IT systems and update records as required
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient files
- Ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good IT literacy, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Effective interpersonal skills to provide reassurance and build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: £12\.21\-£15\.00 per hour
