About you:
As MAT Cover Assistant Manager, at our Character.com Cwmbran store you’ll lead the store team at our new store in creating an impactful store environment and superior customer experience that drives commercial performance.
You’ll be calling upon all your skills to deliver continuous improvement, creating a
high performing team that is committed to the customer and a store that is a great
place to work, you will be forward thinking and strategic in order to maximise all
opportunities as they arise
Experienced required:
- Previous experience in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to lead an experienced and capable team
- Assistant Manager experience preferred but not essential
- Lead by example, mentor and train the team to develop their sales and service techniques
- Monitor and improve the sales levels delivered within the store
- Deal efficiently and effectively with any customer complaints
- Support the Store Manager in the delivery of the stores goals whilst complying with all Company policies and through delivering the highest of standards
- Develop relationships with Head Office colleagues in order to provide feedback on product performance
- Support with the ordering and management of stock where required
- Support with leading the store team, organising and delegating daily tasks
- Take all efforts to store minimises stock losses and store operating expenses
- Support the team to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and display within the department
- To be conversant with selling systems, cash and credit and exchange procedures.
- To maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and retail standards within the store
- To carry out any additional duties as directed by the Store Manager or Head Office
Pay: £25,000\.00 per year
