Dental Nurse/Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing reception duties, and supporting the clinical team.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and ensure a smooth patient journey from arrival to departure


• Assist with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and supporting dental procedures


• Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using IT systems


• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations


• Provide clear communication to patients regarding treatments, post\-care instructions, and billing procedures


• Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as filing, ordering supplies, and managing correspondence


• Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times


• Assist in infection control procedures and sterilisation of dental instruments

Experience

• Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate


• Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach


• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with patients and team members


• Basic IT skills to operate practice management software and electronic health records


• Excellent organisational skills to manage appointments and administrative tasks efficiently


• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and colleagues


• Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is advantageous but not mandatory
