Delivery Driver & Stores Manager

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver \& Stores Manager to join our team. This dual role involves managing store inventory and ensuring the efficient delivery of materials to site. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in warehouse operations, and excellent organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations


• Manage stock levels within the store, ensuring accurate inventory records and timely replenishment


• Coordinate deliveries with clients, ensuring punctuality and proper handling of goods


• Load and unload products, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store area to optimise efficiency


• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to facilitate smooth operations


• Plan delivery routes to maximise efficiency and minimise delays


• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly

Skills

• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record


• Experience in stock control systems


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail


• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members


• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to driving and warehouse operations
