We have a total of 3 positions based at our Solihull and Kings Norton branch where we require additional drivers / warehouse operatives. All applicants will need to be team players, flexible and prepared to take on different tasks to meet the demands of our customers.

1\. Provide a reliable and friendly delivery service to all customers

2\. Build customer relationships – As a front\-line driver it is essential that you are able to build a strong rapport with our customers and colleagues. Involves moving heavy boilers, radiators and plumbing equipment. Must be fit and able to use lifting equipment.

3\. Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner

4\. Maintains defensive driving \& keep assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and out

5\. Maintains accurate and up\-to\-date records of trips

6\. Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s)

7\. Respond immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency services and the office

8\. Fuel the assigned vehicle(s). Long wheel base transit type vehicles

Secondary Responsibilities \- Warehouse Support:

9\. To obtain good all\-round knowledge of company products

10\. Support branch staff with stock replenishment and general warehouse duties and house keeping.

11\. Ensuring the proper storage and inventory of all parts

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Salary: From £29,500\.00 per year Annum

Summary

Reporting to the branch manager, your core responsibilities will include driving / delivering materials to our regular trade customers, helping to pick \& pack products from our warehouse. Must have a have a good work ethos and sense of humoure.

Qualifications

  • Clean driving license and experience driving long wheel base vans is essential

  • Experience in warehouse operations and materials handling

  • Proficiency in forklift operation and familiarity with warehouse safety at work

  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and make multiple drops on a daily basis

  • Ability to load and unload goods efficiently

  • Good communicator with a positive, can do attitude

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: From £29,500\.00 per year
