Day Porter: Fixed Shift - Monday to Wednesday pm and Saturday and Sunday (Days off Thursday and Friday)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Resident Services & Front Desk Duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact for residents and guests, offering courteous, professional assistance at all times.

  • Assist residents with carrying parcels, shopping bags, and suitcases (of a normal weight).

  • Provide concierge-style services including handling deliveries, booking transport, and assisting with service requests.

  • Building Checks & Monitoring:

  • Conduct scheduled building checks throughout the day to ensure the property is secure, well-maintained, and fully operational.

  • Check communal areas, stairwells, plant rooms, lifts, car parks, and external grounds.

  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unauthorised access.

  • Monitor lighting, fire exits, alarm panels, and emergency systems as part of routine inspections.

  • Building Presentation & Cleanliness:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the reception area and common parts.

  • Ensure lobby areas are welcoming, tidy, and free from obstruction.

  • Contractor & Visitor Management:

  • Welcome and supervise contractors and tradespeople working on-site.

  • Keep accurate records of all contractor visits, including names, times, and job details.

  • Log and monitor keys issued and ensure secure return upon completion of work.

  • Parcel & Delivery Handling:

  • Accept and log incoming deliveries securely.

  • Store parcels in designated areas and notify residents promptly for collection.

  • Ensure deliveries are handed over appropriately and respectfully.

  • Health & Safety Awareness:

  • Remain alert to health and safety risks and report any issues immediately to management.

  • Record hazards, incidents, and equipment faults in daily logs.

  • Support fire and emergency procedures and assist residents when required.

  • Administrative Support & Record Keeping:

  • Maintain daily logs and shift reports including building checks, contractor records, parcel logs, key movement, and incidents.

  • Assist the management team with occasional administrative tasks and resident communications.

Essential Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role within luxury residential property or hospitality.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Professional appearance and demeanour.

  • Basic IT literacy for using logbooks, emails, and reporting systems.

  • Knowledge of building operations and health & safety practices.

Desirable Experience
  • SIA License (desirable, depending on property requirements).

  • First Aid Certificate (preferred or willingness to undertake training).
