As a Data Solution Architect, you combine technical expertise with a strong architectural vision. You help an insurance company translate complex business needs into sustainable, future\-proof data and analytics solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, engineers and project teams, you ensure every solution is aligned with both strategic goals and long\-term growth.
Your job
- Translate business and technical requirements into end\-to\-end solution designs
- Drive key architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, performance, maintainability and cost\-efficiency
- Define architecture standards, design principles and development approaches for delivery teams
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, project teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader technology strategies
- Create and maintain architecture documentation and support governance validation processes
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and designers on complex challenges
- Identify opportunities to leverage existing platforms, frameworks and reusable components
- Contribute to project planning through technical scope definition, effort estimation, dependency mapping and risk assessment
- Work closely with testing and operations teams to ensure solutions are deployable, supportable and maintainable
- Document and communicate key architectural decisions and technical assumptions
Your job
- Design and build scalable data solutions in Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric
- Lead end\-to\-end data projects focused on the Microsoft Fabric environment, from requirements analysis and architecture design through to implementation and delivery
- Ensure all solutions meet enterprise\-level standards for security, governance and compliance
- Collaborate closely with clients and cross\-functional teams, acting as a trusted technical partner
- Contribute to innovative data initiatives in sectors like financial services, life sciences and energy, as part of the LACO team
- Deep your expertise in Fabric, Azure and AI, and actively share insights to strengthen the team
- You have experience in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture or a similar senior technical role
- You have a strong understanding of modern cloud\-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems
- You bring hands\-on experience with Azure data and integration services
- You’re knowledgeable of architecture governance, solution design methodologies and software engineering best practices
- You’re familiar with architecture modelling frameworks such as ArchiMate
- You possess strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non\-technical audiences
- You’re fluent in English, Dutch and/or French
Your background
- You have 5\+ years of experience as a data engineer with growing ownership
- You bring strong expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- You’ve delivered end\-to\-end Microsoft Fabric implementations
- You’re confident in data modelling, from concept to execution
- You’re an expert in SQL and Python
- You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and English, both spoken and written
- Experience with dbt is a plus
