GENERAL CONTEXT:
As a Data Scientist, this role will need to have expertise in SQL, modern enterprise Machine Learning platforms (such as Azure ML or Vertex AI), and a strong ability to adapt within a hybrid\-cloud environment.. Knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools, such as Tableau, is essential. This position will work on supporting existing use cases on Azure ML, deploying self\-service data science tools, and driving innovation within the group through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, including Generative AI and Generative BI. The data scientist position will be reporting to the Data Solutions IT Manager.
Position located in ANCENIS (44\) – FRANCE in the Headquarters.
MISSIONS:
- Support Existing Use Cases: Maintain, enhance, and optimize machine learning models and workflows currently deployed on Azure ML.
- Promote Self\-Service: Deploy and evangelize self\-service analytics and data science tools, empowering business users to explore data and derive insights independently.
- Foster Innovation: Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for leveraging advanced analytics and AI tools, promoting a culture of data\-driven decision\-making.
- Generative AI and BI Initiatives: Lead and support the adoption of Generative AI models and Generative BI capabilities, identifying practical applications and ensuring successful deployment.
- Cloud Ecosystem Expertise: Seamlessly integrate data science solutions across our hybrid\-cloud ecosystem, ensuring interoperability, optimal performance, and secure data flow.
- Develop AI Pipelines: Design and implement modern AI architectures, such as Retrieval\-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic workflows, to securely connect foundation models with proprietary business data.
- Training and Enablement: Conduct workshops and training sessions to build data literacy and empower internal teams with data science and AI knowledge.
- 5\+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
- French \& English fluent (B2 level for both mini)
- Proven track record in building and deploying machine learning models and Generative AI solutions in production environments.
- Strong hands\-on experience with Azure ML, SQL.
- Advanced programming skills in Python
- Knowledge of GCP services, including Vertex AI a plus
- Familiarity with multi\-cloud environments is a plus
- Knowledge of Power BI or a similar data visualization tool such as Tableau is a plus
- Experience with MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model evaluation, token optimization, and managing the lifecycle of generative models.
- Understanding of data governance and security in multi\-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks and their practical applications.
- Excellent problem\-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Certification in cloud architecture, modern AI engineering, or relevant platforms (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Work location: Ancenis France
Hybrid Format: 2 days on site, 2 days remote (1 day optional on coworking desks in Nantes city Center near the train station)
