Data & Reporting Analyst

We’re looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join our Technology function at NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS). In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering accurate, timely and insight\-led reporting that supports both operational and strategic decision\-making across the organisation.
You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders, helping to transform data from multiple systems into trusted management information. You’ll be part of a collaborative, delivery\-focused team, working within Agile delivery practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting, data quality and analytics capability. This role is hybrid, with 1–2 days per week based in our Leeds office and the remainder of your time worked flexibly. We’re open about how we work and encourage conversations about what works best for you and the team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining operational, tactical and strategic reports and dashboards.
- Analysing business requirements and translating them into effective reporting solutions.
- Extracting, transforming and validating data from multiple systems and sources.
- Analysing data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance insights.
- Ensuring reporting outputs meet agreed quality, governance and assurance standards.
- Supporting business\-as\-usual reporting cycles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience delivering data analysis and reporting solutions using large or complex datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Knowledge of SQL and data querying techniques.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- A good understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
- Experience with ETL or ELT tools such as Alteryx or Oracle Data Integrator.
- Experience working in healthcare, shared services or other regulated environments.
- An understanding of DataOps and DevOps delivery practices.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps and TopDesk.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
- Experience supporting automated reporting or workflow optimisation.
