Data Product Engineer (m/w/d)

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Product Engineer to join our team, with a specific focus on Inventory. This role sits at the intersection of data science, engineering, and business strategy, and directly impacts our ability to maximize the value of our media inventory.
You will shape and execute the product strategy for our core inventory data assets and solutions. Your work will directly contribute to enabling advanced targetings, driving inventory monetization, and automating inventory processes. We build this ourselves, with Claude, Cursor, and Codex.
Key Responsibilities
Your broad scope will encompass:
- ML\-based Forecasting \& Pricing: Lead the development of machine learning models for inventory forecasting and pricing strategies.
- Data Management: Drive data integration, quality, quantification, and enrichment of inventory data.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with Internal Inventory Management, BI, and Product Owners from Delivery and Order Management teams.
- Execution: Own the implementation. Hands\-on in Python and SQL, using agentic coding (Claude, Cursor, Codex)
What You Bring
We seek a blend of strong technical acumen, product leadership, and a passion for data:
- Background: Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field
- Experience: Proven experience shipping data products
- Technical Skills: Hands\-on experience in Python and orchestration tools
- Data Science: Previous exposure to data science
- Communication: Good communication skills; Ideally English and German.
- Domain Knowledge (Ideal): Prior experience in marketing technology, demand forecasting, or pricing is a big advantage
