Data Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and forward\-thinking Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure that powers our organisation’s decision\-making and digital transformation journey.

This is a hands\-on, high\-impact role where you will lead the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud\-based platforms, optimise data pipelines, and ensure seamless integration across core business systems, including Microsoft Dynamics. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening our data ecosystem—ensuring data quality, security, reliability, and accessibility across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage data migration projects from legacy systems to modern cloud\-based environments, including Microsoft Dynamics.


• Design, develop, and optimise scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ensure high\-quality and efficient data processing.


• Build and maintain reliable data architectures using Azure, SQL, and Python\-based technologies.


• Develop and manage APIs to enable seamless data exchange between systems.


• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define data requirements and improve data workflows.


• Analyse operational and business data to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision\-making.


• Ensure data governance, compliance, security, and quality standards are upheld across all processes.


• Create clear technical documentation covering data models, migration processes, and analytical outputs.


• Automate reporting and analytics workflows using Python and modern data tools.


• Support integration and optimisation of core business platforms and reporting tools.

• Proven experience delivering data migration projects, particularly involving Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP/CRM systems.


• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.


• Hands\-on experience designing ETL processes and working with data warehousing concepts.


• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.


• Experience with Azure (or other cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP).


• Experience working with APIs, including testing and troubleshooting integrations using tools such as Postman.


• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality assurance, and security best practices.


• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is desirable.
