Data Cabling Senior Engineer

TVNET are looking for a Senior Data Cabling Engineer to join our growing team. The job is to oversee and manage the installation, termination, testing and maintenance of structured cabling, fibre optic cabling, AV installations and WiFi installations within existing premises and new builds, throughout the United Kingdom.

We install Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A Data Cabling as well as Fibre Optic Cabling. We also install audio\-visual systems and wireless access points.

Experience in the following is required \-

· Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A cabling installations, plus fibre optics, WiFi and AV.

· Testing experience is useful \- using Fluke DTX\-1800 DSX\-5000 \& DSX\-600\.

· Capable of using a Fluke DTX for testing and fault finding.

· Trunking and Containment.

· Installation of floor mounted and wall mounted data cabinets/racks.

· Supervisory and people management experience.

· Project management.

· Familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations .

The work involves travel throughout England and Wales, so a full clean driving licence is required.

Additional Information

Hours need to be flexible due to client requirements but is based on 40 hours per week. Overtime is offered.

You need to be customer orientated, show initiative, be self\-motivated, with a confident demeanour.

Teamwork is important as is good communication.

Salary level will depend on skills and experience.
