An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Processing Operator’s to join our existing processing team at our dairy in Glenfield, Cowdenbeath. Reporting directly to the Processing Manager, you will be entrusted with a high degree of independence and have a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards our ever\-growing business. This is a permanent position working continental shifts, 4 days on then 4 days off, on nightshift or dayshift.
The purpose of the role is to control the intake and processing of milk and cream for Production.
Key responsibilities
· Receipt of raw milk,
· Pasteurising skim milk,
· Sampling for quality assurance testing,
· Pasteurising cream, processing cream \& Ice cream products,
· Handling bags of powder for mix additions,
· Cleaning of plant and equipment before, during and after production
· Completion of all operational logs and data sheets
About you
The successful candidate will have previous dairy and processing experience, basic computer skills, numerical skills, and the ability to understand written instructions. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to work under your own initiate or as part of a team to meet the standards required. Due to the nature of the role, manual handling is required. PPE will be provided, as will full training covering chemical handling, manual handling, and the use of equipment.
