As demand for our services continues to increase, we are expanding our capability not only in Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, but also across ISO 27001 and defence cyber certification services.
As the business continues to scale, we are now looking to appoint a Cyber Certification Team Manager to take full ownership of the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification services, lead a high\-performing team, and build the structure needed to support continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor who is ready to take the next step into a management role. It is ideally suited to someone who wants to move beyond pure delivery into team leadership, service ownership, quality oversight, and operational responsibility, while continuing to apply their technical expertise in a meaningful way.
For the right person, this role offers the chance to do more than simply manage assessments. You will play a key role in shaping how this part of the business operates, developing people and processes, and helping KEYSIGMA continue to grow its wider certification and assurance capability. There is also clear scope over time to broaden your career into other areas of consulting, including defence cyber certification, and wider advisory services.
The Role
As Cyber Certification Team Manager, you will take full ownership of KEYSIGMA’s Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus service line, leading delivery, quality, team performance, and process development as the business continues to grow.
This is a hands\-on leadership role that combines technical delivery, team management, client engagement, and operational ownership. You will be responsible for overseeing day\-to\-day assessment activity, maintaining quality and consistency, allocating workloads, supporting the development of team members, and ensuring the service operates efficiently and in line with IASME requirements and internal standards.
You will lead an existing and growing team of Cyber Essentials assessors, Cyber advisors and apprentices helping to shape its structure, capability, and performance as demand increases. This role includes day\-to\-day team leadership, workload planning, quality assurance, mentoring and development, and helping to build the capacity of the team as the service grows.
You will work closely with senior leadership while taking responsibility for the day\-to\-day management of this service area. Success in this role will mean leading a high\-performing team, maintaining excellent delivery standards, and creating the structure, consistency, and capability needed to support KEYSIGMA’s continued growth in cyber certification services.
Key Responsibilities
Service ownership, delivery, and quality
- Taking full ownership of KEYSIGMA’s Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus service line
- Ensuring assessments are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with IASME standards and internal quality expectations
- Overseeing the quality, consistency, and timeliness of assessment delivery across the team
- Maintaining assessment integrity, evidence quality, and scheme compliance across all engagements
- Supporting audit readiness and ensuring delivery processes remain well controlled, consistent, and scalable
- Leading the continuous improvement of internal delivery processes, templates, workflows, and quality controls
- Helping ensure the service is well organised and able to support continued business growth
- Leading and managing a high\-performing team of Cyber Essentials Plus assessors
- Coordinating workloads, scheduling activity, and ensuring delivery commitments are met
- Providing day\-to\-day oversight, guidance, and support to team members
- Mentoring and developing junior consultants, assessors, and apprentices
- Supporting performance management, capability development, and the ongoing growth of the team
- Helping identify future resource needs and supporting the growth of the team over time
- Fostering a positive, supportive, and high\-performing team culture focused on quality, learning, and client service
- Acting as a senior point of contact for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus clients
- Communicating assessment findings clearly and professionally, helping clients understand requirements, remediation needs, and outcomes
- Supporting clients through the assessment process and maintaining a high\-quality customer experience
- Contributing directly to the delivery of assessments where needed, particularly on more complex engagements
- Building trusted relationships with clients and representing KEYSIGMA professionally throughout engagements
- Working with leadership to support planning, reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement across the service line
- Contributing to presales activity, including scoping discussions, proposal input, and service\-related guidance
- Supporting the wider development of KEYSIGMA’s certification and assurance services
- Contributing to internal knowledge sharing, documentation, and service development initiatives
- Helping identify opportunities to expand capability across adjacent areas such as ISO 27001, defence cyber certification, and wider consultancy services
You will be someone who is ready to step into a leadership role within a growing cyber security consultancy. You will bring strong Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus expertise, confidence in managing delivery to a high standard, and the ability to lead and develop others.
This role would suit an experienced and qualified Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor who is ready to move beyond pure delivery into team leadership, service ownership, and management responsibility. You may already have some leadership experience, or you may be looking for your first formal management role, but in either case you will be motivated by ownership, quality, and the opportunity to shape a growing service within an ambitious business.

What we’re looking for
- Certified IASME Cyber Essentials Assessor
- IASME Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor qualification
- Strong hands\-on experience delivering Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
- Experience working directly with clients and managing assessment delivery to a high standard
- Good understanding of information security principles, assurance processes, and relevant best practice
- Ability to manage priorities, coordinate workloads, and maintain strong quality standards
- Confidence reviewing work, exercising sound judgement, and maintaining consistency across delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, organised, and accountable approach to work
- Ability to support, guide, and develop less experienced team members
- A genuine interest in contributing to the growth and improvement of a service line
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a technical team
- Experience in an IT, information security, or cyber consultancy environment
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 implementation, auditing, or consultancy support
- Familiarity with defence cyber certification or related assurance frameworks
- Experience supporting presales, proposals, or wider service development activity
- Broader cyber security qualifications or consultancy experience
