About the Role
As our Customer Relationship Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, building trusted relationships, identifying opportunities and helping to deliver profitable sales growth.
Working closely with our Field Sales and Sales Coordinator teams, you’ll ensure customers receive a joined\-up, proactive and professional experience. You’ll get to know your customers, understand their needs and buying patterns, and connect them with the right products, services and support.
This is a hands\-on sales role for someone who is confident speaking with customers, comfortable working towards targets and motivated by turning opportunities into results. Using calls, emails, CRM data, customer insight and campaign activity, you’ll maximise account potential and help keep TC front of mind as the customer’s preferred supplier.
If you’re commercially driven, proactive and passionate about developing strong customer relationships, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts across your territory.
- Building trusted relationships and developing a strong understanding of each customer’s needs, buying patterns and growth potential.
- Driving sales across nominated, growth and development accounts while working towards agreed revenue, margin and activity targets.
- Proactively contacting customers and prospects through calls, emails and targeted campaigns.
- Identifying opportunities to cross\-sell, upsell and introduce customers to TC’s wider range of products, services and group capabilities.
- Canvassing prospective customers and following up on enquiries, quotations, leads and lapsed accounts.
- Working closely with Field Sales and Sales Coordinators to support account plans, coordinate customer activity and arrange site visits where required.
- Maximising the value of every customer interaction by recommending the right solutions at the right time.
- Maintaining accurate and commercially useful CRM records, including customer activity, feedback, opportunities, outcomes and next steps.
- Using CRM data, customer insight and market knowledge to prioritise activity and support customer\-specific growth plans.
- Monitoring customer buying trends, account performance and competitor activity, sharing relevant insight with the wider Sales team.
- Responding to customer queries and escalations professionally, working with colleagues to resolve issues quickly and protect the customer relationship.
- Contributing positively to team meetings, sales reviews, training and wider business initiatives.
In this role, success means customers see you as a trusted partner, opportunities are identified and progressed, and your accounts deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
You’ll build strong relationships across your territory, consistently achieve agreed sales and activity targets, and maintain a healthy pipeline of new and developing opportunities.
You’ll also keep CRM records accurate and commercially valuable, helping Field Sales, Sales Coordinators and wider teams work together to deliver an excellent customer experience.
