Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Cultural Experiences Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of high\-quality African cultural programmes and experiences across the UK.

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in expanding the organisation's cultural programming, developing community partnerships, increasing audience engagement, and delivering impactful projects that support the CIC's mission and long\-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's cultural experiences strategy.

  • Design and deliver innovative African cultural programmes, events, workshops, exhibitions, activations, and community initiatives.

  • Manage the end\-to\-end planning, coordination, and delivery of cultural projects across community, educational, corporate, and public sectors.

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities, educational institutions, community groups, creative practitioners, sponsors, and partner organisations.

  • Identify opportunities to expand cultural programming and increase community participation.

  • Coordinate and oversee facilitators, volunteers, performers, artists, creatives, and project collaborators.

  • Monitor project outcomes and evaluate social impact against organisational objectives.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities and represent the organisation at meetings, events, and partnership forums.

  • Contribute to programme development, funding opportunities, sponsorship initiatives, and partnership proposals.

  • Develop audience engagement strategies to increase participation and strengthen community impact.

  • Ensure all projects are delivered in line with safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity, inclusion, and organisational policies.

  • Produce reports, project evaluations, and programme recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in arts production, cultural programming, event management, community engagement, or creative project delivery.

  • Demonstrable experience designing and delivering cultural, educational, or community\-based programmes.

  • Strong knowledge of African and Afro\-diasporic cultures and creative industries.

  • Experience developing partnerships and managing external stakeholders.

  • Excellent project management, organisational, and leadership skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.

  • Experience coordinating teams, volunteers, facilitators, artists, or creative practitioners.

  • Strong budgeting, planning, and programme delivery skills.
Pay: £41,700\.00 per year
