Credit Controller

Overview:

We’re supporting a well\-established company in Ripon that is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team.

This position would suit someone with around 1–2 years of experience in credit control or a similar finance role who is looking to grow within a supportive business environment.

The role can begin on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on preference and performance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Investigating and resolving invoice or payment queries


• Producing customer statements and account updates


• Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email


• Assisting with general finance administration when required


• Working closely with internal teams to resolve account issues


• Supporting account reconciliations and payment processing


• Keeping accurate records of customer communications and payment activity


• Managing overdue accounts and maintaining customer relationships

• Comfortable using accounting systems and Excel


• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently


• Previous experience within credit control or accounts


• A proactive and professional approach


• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability


• Confident communication and customer service skills
