Stores & Parts Coordinator
An exciting opportunity to join a fantastic engineering company focused on design and manufacture of rail maintenance equipment.
Permaquip are seeking a dedicated Stores \& Part Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in managing inventory, handling goods, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of orders.
Duties for this role include but are not limited to:
· Coordinate the stores to ensure internal supply of parts to the production team and the timely despatch of all sales orders as required.
· Accurately pick works orders and spares orders using the Permaquip MRP system.
· Perform full quality inspection checks on goods in and out, in line with drawings and test methods, to ensure compliance with standards.
· Keep stock levels accurate and the stores area well\-organised.
· Lead full and perpetual stock counting.
· Look to source suitable couriers and arrange shipping
· Efficiently book in and out goods while maintain accurate records in accordance with Permaquip’s business manual.
· Load and unload pallets and trailers, ensuring safe handling of goods.
· Ensure all parts and products are labelled correctly \& smart watered before despatch.
· Producing Reports of Thorough Examination \& UKCA Certification for completed equipment. Ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly and sent with products when despatched.
· Ensure that daily \& monthly inspections / stocktakes are carried out.
· Use any company systems in place at any time.
· Attend meetings as required.
· Ensure that all work undertaken complies with the Company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
· Make the Operations Manager aware of any store’s issues immediately.
· Comply with all Company Policies and procedures.
· Undertake any training as required for the role.
Position ideal requirements:
· Experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment or similar. Rail industry would be an advantage but not mandatory.
· Qualifications and/or experience as a store’s coordination or similar.
· IT skills to a good level including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. Experience using Sage accounts would be an advantage.
· Knowledge / experience working with Material Requirement Planning systems and Bill of Materials.
· Good at organising and methodical.
· Ability to plan and work to deadlines.
· Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks.
· A team player with good communications and collaborative approach to a high\-performing work environment.
· High attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
· Forklift certificate.

Hours: Full\-time hours (36hrs) worked over four days (07:30\-17:00 Monday to Thursday).
Salary: £24,420 \-£25,272 per year per year after probationary period and mandatory training.
